Where do you cover?
As a live wedding illustrator UK I'm based in London and Surrey and cover venues across south-east England including Kent, East and West Sussex, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Essex, but am also happy to travel further afield. With family in Northumberland and Cumbria, I'm also able to cover northern bookings.
All bookings include 40 miles of travel. Any additional travel is charged at 50p per mile. If your venue is over a 2.5 hour drive away, or over an hour and a half journey finishing late, I will also require overnight accommodation — a basic hotel such as a Premier Inn or Holiday Inn works well.
Do you cover destination weddings?
I will travel abroad for destination weddings, depending on my availability, but as a minimum you would need to cover my flights, accommodation, transfers and meals on the day.
What materials do you provide?
I personalise watercolour, high-quality paper with your names and wedding date on. If you already have a monogram for your wedding I can add that on too. I supply compostable protective sleeves to put the illustrations in to take home.
What is the booking process?
Please fill in the contact form to enquire about availability or send me an email. I aim to respond within 48 hours. A £150 non-refundable deposit is required on booking to secure your date. The remaining balance is due six weeks before your wedding. I will send a contract for you to sign — please read the terms and conditions carefully. By paying a deposit, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions listed.
How far in advance should I book?
My diary is currently open for 2026 and 2027. Dates are limited each season to ensure every couple receives a personal, quality experience. I recommend enquiring 9–12 months ahead, especially for Saturdays in peak summer months. I do also take last-minute bookings, so it's still worth enquiring even if your wedding is next week!
What if some guests don't get an illustration who want one?
I can take photos of guests at the event and complete them at home, then send them on to the newlyweds. For larger packages I will agree beforehand how many to complete at home. Additional illustrations can be purchased after the wedding for £10 per person if anyone missed out.
What is a 'Special Moments' illustration?
Included in the Keepsake Plus Package, this is an illustration from your day of something you choose — a bouquet, cake, decor, or part of the venue. This can also be added on to other packages for an additional cost.
How many guests can you fit in an illustration?
I work on the basis of 2 guests per illustration, but can also illustrate guests by themselves or in groups of three. This allows as many people as possible to take home a physical illustration. For families, I can add extra children or babies if needed.
If 4 guests are included, does this mean 4 guests are illustrated or 4 illustrations?
4 guests means 4 guests are illustrated. So if they were two couples, that would be 2 illustrations with 2 people in each. If they were a family of 4 that would be 1 illustration. Or if all 4 had their illustration by themselves, that would be 4 illustrations.
Are your packages flexible?
Yes, I'm happy to tailor them to best fit your day. If you want to swap something in the package or change the number of hours, just let me know.
Is it worth the investment?
Absolutely! Couples choose live illustration because it creates both an experience and lasting artwork, for their guests and for themselves. It's about emotional value as well as entertainment for your loved ones — a wonderful way of preserving wedding memories that complements photography and film.
